THANK GOD we have one last chance..our NEXT Macon-Bibb Tax Revolt is this coming Tuesday, March 9th at 5pm at the Bibb School Board Meeting at the Wachovia Bldg, Downtown Macon, 484 Mulberry, 4th Floor at the corner of 3rd and Mulberry. BE THERE to stop the tax increase of $4.5 Million as they give Sharon Patterson a $200K golden parachute. County Comission meeting will be the following week. Would love to hear your comments on the Mayor's appearance today.. Paper is 3 days late after I broke the story that Elaine Lucas is appealing her guilty verdict in the Ethics Complaint I filed. What's new is that the GA Municipal Association, who put this Ethics Ordinance together for any GA City, LAUDS the law and says it's working!! Meanwhile, we find out the city council spent months tweaking what some of them now say is vague! WR Mayor Chuck "Baby Hugo" (Chavez) Shaheen is continuing to get DUMPED ON bigtime by the WR paper.. And..I went to town on the latest tactics of Obama with Obamacare..I played four clips of him saying it's undemocrattic, etc...to do reconcilliation, which he now calls for..without naming it..while having more people in white coats stand next to him..what a sorry show he's putting on.

Will In regards to city loss of funds I have printed and looked at Macon 2010 budget - I urge you all to take a look at it and see 3 MAJOR venues of revenue loss Bowden, Centroplex, Waste Management Will Why continue to pump tax dollars into services that are BLEEDING MASSIVE amounts of tax dollars - any good profitable business - would have cut these losses long ago. When Reichert tried to mislead us that his tax $ need was motivated by his dedication to Public Safety, Mr Krok gave the Mayor a chance to get out of his lie by requesting articles on RR's nonexistent, prior attention to Public Safety. Lucille In the small town I grew up in they had "Citizens Volunteer Days" to get yard & maintenance work done on city properties--that as opposed to raising taxes. Or they scaled back hours on public parks & services. There are OTHER ways to balance a budget besides raising taxes--you sometimes have to get creative.
